What exactly is a definition of a Philospher? Both opinion and dictionary

Alchemy

Ancient science? Magic? What do we know? Many of us may know alchemy coming from videogames, books, or movies. I personally believe that is an art that requires one touch science and one touch science.
Many people tried to use alchemy in past for the purpose of creating a never ending supply of gold to fill the greed that all of man kind suffers from.

I wish to know your view on this situation.

We all have heard of the P.S. at one point in time in our life if we have watched Harry Potter or read an ancient science book. Many of you will put the name Nicolas Flamel with the P.S.
